Legacy Solutions

Why does my boiler always break down on a bank holiday? Why don’t I buy a new one? It’s probably because I say I can’t afford it.

We live in a digital world and a modern organisation, whichever sector, when something goes wrong, it’s probably because the “computer says no”.

Why does the “computer say no”?

Is it because its a legacy application that’s out of date?
Is it because the person / business area using it doesn’t know how to use it?
Is it because the process / workflow is broken?

Sometimes you need to take a step back, reflect, and investigate ways to get these issues resolved. Some can be quick (low hanging fruit) but others may need more time. Whatever they are, organisations need to get on top of them, prioritise the major concerns, fix them, so as to ensure they are working to their optimum.

Morale: Don’t ignore your legacy / poor performing digital applications and invest in robust, effective outcome based solutions (and do something about your boiler so it doesn’t ruin a summer bank holiday!)
